Climbing plants, they’ll make your outdoor space look green in no time! But they do need a little support. In this blog, we tell you how you can best support climbing plants.
Climbing frame
There are climbing plants that can grow against walls or fences of their own accord, but some climbing plants can use a little help. That’s why climbing frames for outdoor plants have been created! Yes, really. Especially vine plants like to have climbing frames around them because they need something to turn around. You can guide the plants in the beginning by ‘pulling’ the stems a bit higher through the frame. Be careful though, we don’t want any injuries.
Fence
Climbing plants are only too happy to grow against a fence. Especially if you go for a self-adhesive variety. Plant the climbing plants close to the fence, so that these climbing juggernauts can grow upwards by themselves. Do they need a little help? Then go for a climbing frame as an aid. Make sure that your green friend does not grow in the wrong direction and steer them a bit in the right direction sometimes!
